1929 $50 Nat Curr Brown Seal FR Bank of Chicago Note P2-031

1929 $50 Nat Curr Brown Seal FR Bank of Chicago Note P2-031

$119.00

Here is a Series 1929 National Currency $50 note. Brown seal and serial numbers. A larger denomination note not often seen. This was issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Illinois. This is Reserve Bank letter G. Has the traditional portrait of Grant in front center. This bill grades Very Fine and is only lightly circulated, with some crispness still evident. It does have both horizontal and vertical creases, but these affect the designs somewhat more on the back. No pinholes found. Corners are mostly sharp, with fold on upper right corner. The edges are mostly sharp as well. The back has the traditional scene of the US Capitol Building. (From the back, this bill looks like our current $50.) Creases affecting designs somewhat more here than on the front. A type of currency that is seldom seen, since National Currency was soon replaced by the Federal Reserve Notes. Thanks for looking. Enjoy! P2-031
