$65.00

Here is a lot of 5 different dates of Shield Nickels. All of these are Fine details with light corrosion – and one is Extra Fine with corrosion. A great start on this set of the first nickel 5 cent coin the US ever made. You get the following year of these : 1866 (first year, with the rays on the reverse), 1867 No Rays Variety, 1868, 1869 and the late date 1882 coin. All have nice details in the shield, but light corrosion noted. The 1866 has Fine details, with a slight red cast to the corrosion. The 1867 has Fine details, with gray light corrosion. The 1868 is Fine with a bit of red on the reverse. The 1869 is exceptional, with Extra Fine details under the light gray corrosion. The late-date 1882 has Fine details, with the light gray corrosion. General description of these : Nicely detailed coins with some weakness to vertical bars of lower shield from moderate wear. All details are generally strong. No other detracting marks or spots noted. Reverses have strong details, with some details found in star centers. The 1869 is exceptional for detail. Full retail on this group of coins is about $125.00. A good start on a set of these early nickel coins. Thanks for looking. Enjoy! WDED-45
